November 4th will see us holding our Annual General Meeting. Immediately following, Sylvia Strobel will give a talk on pruning. Silvia, retired from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in 2022 after a 36-year career.  She is an avid outdoor enthusiast, a passionate gardener, and volunteers with various garden and nature organizations, including the Lakefield & District Horticultural Society, Peterborough & Area Master Gardeners, and the Kawartha Land Trust.  Since taking the Master Gardener training she has been pruning the many flowering shrubs in her mother’s Hamilton garden, and looks forward to helping us demystify pruning.
